DATA REQUESTS
Your data, your request.
You can delete Speechy's data about you by removing the app from Zoom, or by emailing us. Here is exactly what happens in each case.
Removing Speechy from Zoom
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Choose Manage → Added Apps (or your account admin's app management page).
- Find Speechy and choose Remove.
Zoom tells Speechy about the removal right away, and Speechy automatically deletes:
- your Zoom authorization (the encrypted tokens that let interpreters join on your behalf),
- your membership in your organization's Speechy account and any meeting role records about you,
- your user ID from your organization's usage records (the minutes stay counted for the organization, without your ID).
If you were the last person in your organization using Speechy, we also delete the organization's other Zoom authorizations and meeting records. We keep the organization's record (its Zoom account ID, plan, minute counts and payment references, with no user IDs) for 12 months, so adding Speechy again, or paying on our website, restores the same account and its minutes. Then we delete it, unless a paid subscription is still active. To have it deleted sooner, email us (below).
Removing Speechy does not cancel a paid plan. Cancel it first: sign in at your account page and choose Manage billing.
Asking us by email
Email [email protected] from the address linked to your Zoom account to ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. Tell us your organization's name; do not send passwords, Zoom meeting links or recordings. We may ask you to confirm your identity or your authority to act for an organization. We respond within 30 days.
What we never have to delete
Speechy does not record meetings and does not store meeting audio, translated audio or transcripts, so there are none to delete. Our translation provider, OpenAI, may keep abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days under its API terms, after which they are deleted.
Records we may keep
If you have paid for Speechy, our payment processor Stripe keeps payment and invoice records, and we keep billing and tax records, as long as the law requires. Operational logs on our servers contain no meeting content and expire automatically within 30 days.
